Famous – The Novella Written by Clare Keogh
It is a crime thriller novel that not only touches lightly on the subject of harassment but also the price we sometimes pay for wishing unrealistic things.
The female protagonist dreams to be a Hollywood actor and is tested every step of the way, first by her director. In the process, Bellamy is served as collateral damage and is impulsively murdered by her on the same night in the same house.
Later, as the adrenaline wears off, she finds herself regretting the impulsive decision and is tormented by the night she killed Bellamy. This goes on to her losing a lot actually and going into shock paralysis, where the voluntary movement of any of her body parts (even the eyes) is restricted. She is now destined to spend the rest of her life in a psychiatric asylum, haunted by a lot of things.
